I use Thunderbird for a Cox mail acct and for Cox's Newsgroup server
(NNTP... from Eternal September)

Cox is presently switching its mail service to Yahoo... No info about
Newsgroup server support that I can find anywhere , as of yet...

We'll see what happens...

Just wanted to thank everybody (especially Robin!) for their insightful
and helpful posts through the years... (in case I disappear into the
ether, you'll know why I'm gone.)

Tweek, since you don't use Cox for newsgroup access, this change
shouldn't affect your newsgroup access. Unless I'm misunderstanding
something, you can continue to use Thunderbird for NG access via Eternal
September no matter how you receive your e-mail.

Also, I use the free SeaMonkey program as my news reader. It also has a
web browser and an e-mail client, as well as other functionality, but I
use it only for newsgroups:
