I wonder if that is precise. Some talk show this week gave the stat as
off by 1, perhaps 1503 for and 1502 against. I wonder which is right.
Or perhaps the stat I heard was about games played rather than started?

I'm certainly not doing the arithmetic to check. :)

They may have not included the playoff game, which the Chargers lost 31-30, so the stat would have been 1472 for and 1471 against, explaining perfectly his 29-29 career regular season record as a starter.

That sounds right. Now that you mention 29-29 I seem to recall it being
perfectly even. I wonder why 29-30 didn't wake me up.
