For cultural questions you could try soc.culture.japan .If you're ambitious ,
you could even try reviving soc.culture.japan.moderated .I would be highly
in favour of reviving the latter but I don't have anything to submit at
present. If you submit something and nothing happens , you can raise it on
news.groups and the members of the Big8 committee will try to contact the
moderator and , if he cannot be contacted , they will start the process for
finding a new moderator.

Lets keep as much of usenet as possible alive.
