I think pretty much everyone here has probably experienced a campaign
where things started getting cringingly sexual

(I'm reminded of the Dead Alewive's D&D comedy sketch, which captured
that sad aspect of the game quite well. See it here, performed using
video-game characters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYO1j2Vhztc )

So no surprise it's happening in a live-action re-enactment of the
game. It's just being accurate to the hobby. ;-)

Shudder, the early days yes, but I quickly learned to put a stop to that
before it could get that far.

I assume improvisational burlesque theatre, in this case with dice rolls
or something.
Only way to find out would be to visit the show I guess.
