Hi All,

On this web site,
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
if I am not using a Windows based browser, I can directly
download the ISO.

But if a Windows based browser is detected, oh no no no no!
Their media tool, which they insist you use, sometimes is
a disaster (sometimes it does work though). And it can
be really, really S-L-O-W. Sometimes I just need the
stupid ISO. And sometimes I just have not got all day
to wait on their tool.

When I just want the ISO, is there some plug-in for Firefox
I can use that will lie about my machine? Linux works.
(I have booted off a Fedora Lice USB at times I have
got to frustrated.) A plug-in that <$'s web site does not
figure a workaround.

I do believe javascript has to lie as well. Altering
the User Agent string does not always work.

Also, Zoom, won't let me download anything except the
version for my current operating system. Be nice if
I could lie about being XP for my customer still on XP.

Will the same plug-in do that too?

I think the easiest way to download your stuff is using a Linux based
browser. Today's windows based browsers have too much switches in
about:config.

Hi Lisa,

I was kind of afraid of that. All the various user agent
switcher ad-ons I could not figure out how they worked.
No icons, Nothing in tools. etc.
