Hello everyone,
Just curious anyone else here runs their daily computers
with Wayland/Sway ?

I came back to usenet a couple months a go and hopefully
will contribute to this newsgroup.

Nice the last time I used GNU/Linux on an Apple was like 12 years a go
when I was working at a research facility and their IT deparment
forces people to use all the same hardware, but in no place it said
you couln'd change the OS :D so I got away with running GNU/Linux on it
:)

it was a pain to get it all working tho, so how it is now a days?
I know that with the ARM chips is a work in progress.

The Silicon-Macs can't run Linux up to now AFAIK.

The Intel-hardware runs all Linux-versions out of the box including Wifi
but without the camera which is something I do not care about at all: I
had already OpenSuse Tumbleweed, Linux Mint LMDE and Ubuntu several
versions incl. the Kubuntu-Desktop running on it.

The hardware is a 2016-MBP with 16GB RAM. Snappier than ever. A dream to
work with. Very similar to my Dell i5 with Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2 on it.
