One for Roland, this, as he's often complained about the situation on
the BHM- SSD service. XC has been told that its ads promising free
grub in first are misleading.

Yes, yes; but that's all about catering on Voyagers, and not the
slightest glimmer exposing their lies about it (by implication) being
available on their Turbostars.

Which I think only have about eight First Class seats per train. But on
which I *have* travelled with FC ticket (unlike most occupants who look
very unlikely to have).

There are still posters on the platform at Ely (yes, I know) advertising
the dining service, when you have to travel all the way to Birmingham to
encounter a train where it exists.

It appears that the evidence provided to ASA by XC was about Voyagers,
because the story there isn't quite so bad as on the 170s. Nonetheless
XC have been told not to mislead on this issue. Let's see if your Ely
poster changes.

It's the same poster all over the country (that's the heart of the
problem), so plenty of places for people to look. I'm a bit hampered
because they are airside of the new barriers.
