Drive normally, don't lug the engine and don't overspeed.

That's unusual. The power band peaks at 6000 RPM and the torque band
peaks at 4500. They are telling you to stay way down at 3000??

They normally say no prolonged high speed operation of the engine since
that could lead to localised hot spots and, worst case, a piston
grabbing in the bore. Never seen one say to keep revs down below such a
low level, especially one so far below the power band.

One would hope.

What is the speed of the engine at, say, 100 kph in OD (4th)? What is
the engine speed at 100 kph when you kick down to 3rd to maintain speed
up a long hill?
