It uses 91RON not 95 as previously thought. it's not gutless. guess I
was just used to my sporty Lancer. only thing I'm missing so far is the
ability to make phone calls by voice command. sound system is very good!
build and finish is as good as anything. got a lot of reading to do now
(of the manual). :)

I think you'll find they *adapted* the car to the UK market. They did
this by the simple expedient of putting a 95 sticker on the fuel filler
and updated the UK manual with 95 instead of 91, no changes to the
actual car tuning being required as that will all be taken care of by
the ECU's adaptive tuning. It seems fuels under 95 RON are a little on
the scarce side in the UK. 95 RON fuels are their standard unleaded
petrol and you won't see anything under that.

From a quick look the engine produces the most KW in China (88KW) on 92
RON and the lowest in England (78KW) on 95 RON with Australia 84KW on 91
RON.

They are likely tuned to each countries specific emission regulations
(certainly China vs UK). If anything our tuning is very similar if not
the same as that of China.
