Rank Model Volume May 2023 Change year-on-year
1 Toyota HiLux 5772 up 11.5 per cent
2 Ford Ranger 4110 down 9.6 per cent
3 Tesla Model Y 3178 N/A
4 Toyota RAV4 2616 down 33.4 per cent
5 MG ZS 2502 up 42.3 per cent
6 Isuzu D-Max 2371 down 2.6 per cent
7 Hyundai i30 2163 up 6.7 per cent
8 Hyundai Tucson 1911 up 11.7 per cent
9 Mitsubishi Outlander 1880 up 4.5 per cent
10 Mazda CX-5 1846 down 5.2 per cent

What a depressing list.

I wonder if the legal minimum car park size has increased as a result of
the decrease in intelligence of the great unwashed? Or even if there is a
legal minimum size?

The great unwashed? You may be just a little wanker, but I have to admit
that you sneer with the best (or worst) of them.

Not really. He's just a little fucking wanker, but he does seem to have
spent some considerable time perfecting that role.

Once again Gibbens... "wanker" is entirely subjective. And when that
subjective term is used by you, a *proven* liar, hypocrite, fraud and
pathetic coward, even someone as stupid as you must realise how fabulously
ineffective your tedious invective is.

You're as effectual as a small fart in a hurricane Fraudster.

Practice. There is just so much to sneer at nowadays. Like you calling
someone else a "wanker"...

You've spent your entire life perfecting that role!

Nothing astonishes Noddy so much as common sense and plain dealing.

I'd say there wasn't a legal minimum size. Some I've seen would have
trouble coping with the width of the Swift much less one of those tanks
in your list. How will we fare when trucks the size of the RAM 1500
become de rigueur for the lesser endowed folks?

I feel your pain. My back yard is 5m and I want a new Toyota Hilux
cab & tray to park it in. The new ones have a huge snout projecting
from the front increasing its lenght to unmanageable proportions. I
wait for Toyota to come to their senses, but I fear a Nissan might
have to do.

Nah, keep the Nissan brand out of your life. Why do you think two
*former* Navara owners here have forsaken the brand and gone for Ford
Rangers with long wait times - even when they could but a Navara off the
showroom floor.

Don't know who he was replying to but even old Hilux's are over 5mtrs
long, the 2 I owned, a 2003 4WD Xtra cab and a 2009 2WD dual cab were
over 5.0mtrs long if you include the towbar and bullbar/nudgebar.

Quite amazing really how he has such strong opinions about things with
which he has zero experience with, yet the opinions of people like you
and me who actually *have* genuine first hand experience mean nothing :)

And I'll bet you any money you like that he got off them because he was
*so* profoundly fucking stupid that he couldn't last in any job before
being fired for massive incompetence.

What was it? 8 jobs in 6 years? That was no "journeyman" project. That
was a wandering idiot finding it impossible to fit in :)

Yes, you have first hand experience with a Navara and, as predicted, you
*aren't buying another Navara*. No wait times on Navara delivery, up to
a year on a Ranger. You *had experience* with a Navara, you didn't want
any more *bad* experiences, especially after the engine shits itself.
And that was due at any time.

Exactly right. He's an expert on Navaras despite him never having sat in
one in his life. It takes a special kind of delusion to be able to do
that :)

Sure.

Exactly *what* "experience" are you inventing here, Krypsis? I had my
Navara for 6 years and had zero problems, and as far as I'm aware
Lindsay's owership experience was very similar. Further, I know 3 other
people with D40 Navaras (2 with 2.5 engines and one V6 like mine) and
their experience has been very similar. In fact, I had one of those 2.5
D40's at my place last Friday with a leaking rear axle seal, and given
that the thing is 10 years old with 220k km's on the dial and that is
the *first* out of the ordinary issue it had in it's life I don't think
it was bad going.

A new oil seal was 17 bucks from Burson and it tool 45 minutes to fit :)

Yeah, I'd like to hear that explanation too, as I'm sure it would make
for some incredibly amusing reading. About as much as the bullshit he
waffled on about with surface area of brake shoes and other irrelevant
crap when trying his feeble best to hide the fact that he had no idea
how power brakes work.

Hey Tommy? Seen this one?

That's a 409 Chev with *three* (yes, count them: Three) 1200cfm
Dominator carbs on it.

3600cfm on 409 cubes. According to you, that should either be *so* over
carbed that it would never actually run, *or* it would run with an idle
speed of about 8500rpm :)

He's a simpleton.

He seems to be of the belief that if you buy a particular brand once
then you're stuck with it for life, and apparently can't comprehend that
people buy what they like *today*, not what they liked Brand X making 10
years ago.

It's the most ridiculously blinkered view, that only someone who is
completely ignorant of the world around them could ever possibly hold,
and is the equivalent of never reading a new book or thinking a new
thought.

Sound like anyone? :)

**Leaving a towbar sticking out is illegal in NSW. Is it the same in
Victoria. A law I agree with, BTW, having whacked my leg a few times on
wayward towbars. Bullbars are similarly illegal, unless they meet
specific NSW regulations (most do not).

ROTFL :)

The two biggest noise making fuckstains in this group without question
are an ex teacher and a perpetual whinger. Says a lot for their combined
capabilities when one couldn't appreciate the physical differences
between boosted and non boosted brakes and the other couldn't tell the
difference between a light and a bloody switch :)

If it is I've never heard of it.
On vehicles that I towed frequently with I always left the tow ball in
place, if it was on a car that was rarely used for towing I'd remove it.

Bullbar on the 03 I had and the nudgebar on the 2009 were both Toyota
parts so I assume they were legal, I don't have either vehicle anymore
so not my problem.

I have plenty of experience with a lot of things - including an
apprenticeship and *that's* something you've *never experienced*. Ever!
You needed a *minimum standard of secondary education* and you couldn't
even achieve that. That locked you out of *ever* getting a trade.

The only thing you have genuine first hand experience in is lying!

In reality (something that doesn't exist in your world), I got into
teaching because of my experience teaching my trade in Indonesia. That
and a chance visit to Melbourne where I saw an ad in the Age - which I
followed up - for teaching in TAFE in Victoria. I wasn't ready to settle
down at the time but the overseas expatriate position was in turmoil
because of the revolution in Iran fomented by the Ayatollah Khomeini.
That caused a change in my plans and I later ended up in Melbourne,
married, teaching and enrolled at Melbourne Uni.

What does one call a lying idiot who *invented a career* in automotive
just so he could fit into a *newsgroup*?? You're the one who couldn't
fit in Darren. You couldn't even *begin* an apprenticeship because you
*didn't qualify*. But you fraudulently claim 3 apprenticeships and two
trade qualifications. Such a pity no records exist for such, even in the
government archives!
